What is a 'Periodic Inspection'?
Periodic inspections are conducted after a tenant takes possession of the property. The first periodic inspection takes place within 6 weeks and then every 6 months thereafter. These inspections are done by our property management team and are essential to ensure that your property is being maintained to an acceptable standard and to identify any maintenance issues that may be required.
We now use our iPads to conduct our periodic inspections. We do a detailed report and take as many photos as possible on the iPad and then upload them to our computers when we are back in the office. A copy of the report along with the photos will either be posted in the mail or sent via e-mail to all of our tenants and landlords. Should it be necessary, a member of the property management team will contact the landlord or tenant to discuss any items or issues noted on the report.
By conducting periodic inspections, our property management team is able to assess how the tenant is maintaining not only the inside of the property, but also the exterior and the yards and gardens.
